As the earliest settlement on the coast Pogno has served West Corumur for centuries, but its value and popularity have long vanished since the establishment of wealthier, more aesthetic towns and cities in the area. The irony is, these other towns and cities wouldn’t exist if not for Pogno. Being built atop wet, muddy lands, it was the natural place to spur the construction industry. The surrounding marshy lands were formed into mud pits, and the land was developed to produce mass amounts of bricks , slabs, and other construction materials. During the establishment and fast growing prosperity of Corumur, Pogno was bustling with hard labor workers and tons of bricks were carted from the town to build the neighboring city of Shiny Cove. Due to its more beautiful and beneficial location, and being the first port in Corumur, Shiny Cove drew away anyone who gained wealth from Pogno’s industry leaving the small mud town as a mostly abandoned labor-town with not much flash or class.
